Smart Picture Frame Gets Smarter
The Nixplay Wi-Fi Cloud line of electronic picture frames has already been a popular choice for all those who want to display their digital picture on a wall or coffee table. There are four versions of the Nixplay Wi-Fi frames and all have excellent online reviews. Now those frames are all getting an immediate upgrade for free. As announced on March 26, all of cloud-enabled photo frames from Nixplay will now work with Alexa. This makes Nixplay the first digital photo frame to integrate with the popular voice assistant.
A Digital Frame For Your Social Life
Nixplay Wi-Fi Cloud frames all allow you to display photos from a USB or SD card like most digital photo frames, but it also has the ability to show media streams such as those from Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, Flickr, and Picasa. Additionally, you can email pictures directly to Nixplay’s online cloud storage and have them display immediately. Each Cloud frame comes with free access to 10GB of online storage where you can set up unlimited playlists for up to 5 frames per account. If that isn’t enough, additional cloud storage can be purchased for a nominal cost.
Plenty of Options
With four style options and a variety of sizes ranging from 7 inches up to 18 inches, there are more than a dozen different Alexa-enabled smart picture frame offerings from Nixplay now. The Original has the basic styling you’d expect from a digital frame, but is available in up to an 18 inch diagonal format. The Edge has a basic black bevel and high-resolution display, appropriate for sitting on a table or shelf. The Seed is available in several beautiful, bright colors, and the Iris comes in three metallic hues.
Great Reviews
Nixplay isn’t exactly a household name yet, but in the realm of digital picture frames, they have an excellent reputation. Their picture frames combine cutting-edge technology with the type of aesthetic design that would fit into either the most traditional or most modern, connected home. On Amazon, some reviewers want more from the associated smartphone app, but overall are impressed with the frame’s style and features. With thousands of combined reviews, the Wi-Fi Cloud series earns 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Alexa Compatability
The full line of Nixplay Wi-Fi Cloud Frames now work with ‘Just Ask Alexa.’ This includes Nixplay Iris, Nixplay Seed, Nixplay Edge and Nixplay Original Wi-Fi Cloud frames. With the added Alexa skill, you can ask Alexa for the status of your frame, assign a playlist to any of your frames, or display any playlist immediately. Since Nixplay is a popular gift for family members, this means you could send your new family pictures to Grandma’s photo frame with a word to Alexa.
Cost and Ordering
With so many styles and size options, there’s a Nixplay frame for any budget. The smaller frames retail for $99 and the 18-inch Original is $270. With the new Alexa integration being pushed to all new and existing cloud enabled frames, this is an added free benefit. You can find Nixplay at Walmart
, Amazon, or directly from the Nixplay online shop with free shipping.
