The Fibaro Z-Wave Flood Sensor works really well with Vera and could save you a lot of money down the road by alerting you to a water problem before it causes damage. There are some tricks to setting up the sensor with Vera, so follow the steps below carefully to save time and trouble.

How to pair a Fibaro Flood Sensor with Vera
To get started, select “Devices” from the Vera dashboard.
Click “Add Device.”
Find “Fibaro Flood Sensor” in the list of devices. The easiest way to do this is to type “Flood” into the search box.
Select either FGFS-101 or FGFS-101 Gen 5 depending on which device you have.
Find Fibaro Flood Sensor on the Add Device PageClick “Next.”
At this point, if you haven’t already, remove the top of the flood sensor by twisting counter-clockwise. The sensor ships with the battery installed but with a strip of paper underneath it. Pull out the paper strip and make sure the battery is firmly seated.
Click “Next” again in the Vera window.
As soon as the pairing tab loads, start tapping the trigger shown below 3 times quickly. Continue to repeatedly tap the trigger in sets of three as Vera counts down from 60.
Eventually, the page will change to display the device details. Set the name of the device and assign a room. Occasionally continue to tap the trigger 3 times to ensure the sensor stays awake until it has fully configured. Then click “Finish.”
At this point, you will be taken back to the Vera devices page.
You will probably need to refresh your browser window before the new sensor shows up. Once you do, you should see the flood sensor and the associated temperature sensor in the room you assigned it to. The temperature reading may not show up for 15 minutes or more, so don’t worry if the temperature is blank. You can now screw the top back on to the sensor.
Test your sensor by setting it on a plate and pouring a small amount of water on the plate. The sensor should start beeping, and you will see the sensor change state on the Vera device page.
You’re done. Place your sensor wherever you’d like to monitor for water leaks.
